…there’s something exciting and refreshing about starting completely over. not knowing the outcome, but know there will be so many adventures and opportunites in the future. it has to be one of the most phenominal things to think about.
my names Danielle, i’m a junior in high school. i used to have another blog but i didn’t like the direction i was taking with it, so i decided to completely change around my thoughts and start a new blog. i’ll start off with 15 things you should know about me.
1. i’ve been told so many times that i’m impossible to figure out. my friends, family, and i have learned to deal with it, but the newcomers in my life have quite a hard time.
2. i <3 NASCAR, don’t hate.
3. i don’t care what anyone has to say, i’ve been a dedicated Jonas Brothers fan since 2008. not their sterotypical overly obnoxiously excited-loves to scream at the highest pitch they can-type of fan..well okay, at their concerts i can be a little bit like that. i love their music, voices, GOODLOOKS, + values. Plus, Nick J is my boyfriend, so i have to like his band ;)
4. i like to keep to myself, well mostly just in school. if you share your feelings or secrets to even your bestest friend at my school, you’re most likely not just telling them..you’re also telling everyone around you that can listen.
5. most people don’t call me danielle. the most common names i get are D, Dann, Danni or Danny (depends which way they like to spell it), Wetz, Wetzel. since i’m the baby in the fam, my relatives love to call me babe names such as Baby, Danielley, Little Baby Brown Girl (don’t ask, long story.), or little girl. Call me what you want, whatever works for me.
6. i have many, many friends..not trying to sound arrogant or anything! i’m that girl that people say “she hangs with the popular group, but she doesn’t always stick to that group like glue, she’s friends with all types.” i’m not trying to sound Miss America-ish, but i like being nice+friendly to all people..you never know how awesome a person is until you get to know them!
7. i love to doodle, especially during class. nothing spectacular, i’m no artist! just hearts, block letters, smiley faces, etc..doodling sets the mind free :)
8. i’m terrified of driving. thats why i’m almost 17 and have yet to get my license. if i had three wishes the absolute FIRST one would be “i wish i love to drive”.
9. i’ve been teaching myself how to play guitar for the past two years, so far it’s been unsuccessful..someday i will learn an actual song! i also play piano and flute.
10. my grandma was Miss PA in 1952 and 1st runner up for Miss America two years later, graduated from Harvard Medical School, was a professor at Harvard, and has a whole building dedicated in her name at Juniata University & she just went water skiing with one ski on our lake this summer at 80 years old…yeah, she’s my hero.
11. i am a huge sucker for sweet talkers, worst habit ever. it definitely gets me into a lot of trouble and stress.
12. i have a purity ring and i’m surprisingly proud of it. not to be cliche or anything.
13. i am addicted to shopping, i use to change my style a lot (nothing major), but i’ve finally found one that i think i’m going to stick with for a while :)
14. i used to have a guinea pig named Chico, yes he was mexican. i got him when i was ten and sadly he passed away 2 months ago. he was my baby boy. <3RIP
15. i’m known for my consistant smile and unmistakable laugh, it’s a disease i swear!
16. i’m addicted to facebook, second worst habit ever. also gets me into a lot of trouble, especially when i should be doing homework or cleaning my room…
17. i have many medical problems, not trying to have a pity party for myself or anything. but i have been lucky(sarcasm) to be diagnosed with patellafemoral syndrome this past year. it’s a knee cap disfunction, basically my knee cap will pop out of place and just ‘float there’ for a very long period of time, which causes extreme pains so i have to where i brace a lot of times. i also have asthma, i’m anemic, have high blood pressure, and i have a heart murmur aka tricuspid vaulve regeargatation (i butchered that word, my B). but as far as i’m concerned, i’ve lucked out so far and am so thankful that thats all thats wrong with me.
18. i go off into my own world 24/7. third worst habbit of mine, but i enjoy daydreaming..i never stop thinking!
19. i have had my future planned since i was in 3rd grade. college, career, everything. now, its time for me to actually know what i want to do after high school and i have no clue! agh.
20. i thank God everyday for my blessings. i’m so blessed to have the family and friends and life that i have.
21. my absolute best friend is my cousin Sarah. We lived 663 miles away from eachother and only saw eachother once a year until last month when she started her freshman year at Penn State and now we only live 2 hours away! i love her so much.
22. i work at CAC, my church on wednesdays and thursdays. and i have to say, that is the only thing i look forward to those days. Wednesdays is youth group for 5th and 6th graders and Thursdays is for 7th and 8th. then for 9th-12th, my youth group is on Sunday nights. i absolutely love my church. the people there are my second family, i love them so so so much. it’s the best enviroment you could ever think of being in.
23. i danced for 14 years and did track for 7 until my previously mention patellafemoral syndrome came into my life and forced me to quit both sports. now i go to Zumba classes every monday, tuesday and wednesday..best way to excersice EVER!
24. i can never keep nailpolish on my nails for longer then two days, it’s impossible. i peel it right off in my spare time or when i don’t even notice! but i still have an obsession of painting my nails at least three times a week. my current fave color right now is ‘shrimply devine’ :)
25. i loveeee new adventures and opportunites..it’s what i live for!
